Training Room improved, thanks to RACS

We partner with RACS (Royal Australian College of Surgeons) to deliver the Family Medicine training program.

Dr Bethany leads a team of medical educators preparing Timorese doctors for their future work in the inaccessible districts of Timor-Leste.

Much of our training is done in the outpatient building at Vera Cruz Community Health Centre in Dili, which was badly in need of some love.

We are very excited that it is now being refurbished by RACS, and our Timorese doctors are looking forward to much better consult rooms from which to learn.

Plans are also underway for Maluk Timor to develop a new HIV treatment and training centre at this same site – watch this space…”

AND THE BIG REVEAL….

This room will help empower those in a position to change the health of their nation!

Help us do even more

Even though healthcare in Timor-Leste has improved, there is still so much more to do.

A small amount of money goes a long way with the per person health budget less than US$100 per year.
