Stepping up: Dircia – HIV Team Leader

I never thought I could take on a big responsibility like HIV team leader but I got inspired last year about the vision of Maluk Timor and inspired to step up and lead this team.

In Timor there are only 7 ADT centers (the clinic that deliver the HIV medicine and look after the patients) and only two of these are in Dili. We want to provide expert Clinical service to our people in partnership with the government as this is an overload of patients at the current clinics. There is a lack of confidential and non judgmental service for them which causes a barrier to their care.

The want and deserve a high quality of care, my people deserve the sme care as in other countries. I want to help make that happen.
