Dr Elanor recognised at event hosted by Foreign Minister, Penny Wong

Our chair Julie was in Canberra last week and stumbled upon another one of our alumni brushing shoulders with politicians.

“I was in Canberra last week wearing my hat as Chair of Australian Volunteers I to attend the DFAT celebration at Parliament House for International Volunteers Day.
You can imagine my surprise when immediately after Penny Wong (who spoke beautifully about the importance of volunteering in our region), the next speaker introduced was Eleanor MacMorran!

She spoke for more than ten minutes about her work with Maluk Timor and how our HIV team now have the skills and confidence to run the HIV program themselves. ”

Elenor has also talked to Australian volunteers in the video below, where she outlines her great work.
