I know I made the right decision to join Maluk Timor, and have been here since the beginning.
I have had many opportunities to learn great things such as managing programs, budgets and organizing events. I have set up a regular forum where Nutrition Workers from the Community Health Centres can get together to network and talk about challenges they face in their work place. I also supervise the family medicine doctors who do rotation in our nutrition department.
The things I have learned at MT are so different from my previous job where I mostly I was looking after children with malnutrition. I have really been able to build up my skills in areas that I didn’t have the chance to explore. I believe with the things I have learned in Maluk Timor will help me to improve my future career.
I am passionate about the work that I do and am so happy that I can help children suffering from malnutrition. I hope that in the future the malnutrition rate in Timor-Leste will reduce because people understand more about the importance of good nutrition.
