Professor Dr Catharina Williams-van Klinken has a PhD in linguistics from the Australian National University, for a grammar of the Fehan dialect of Tetun, an Austronesian language of Timor. Since 2004 she has been director of the Centre for Language Studies at Dili Institute of Technology in Timor-Leste working on language education and research. Catharina is working with Maluk Timor to strengthen Tetun and translation capacity
