Still Missing Mana Lucia’s Vibrant Face at Maluk

We sure are missing our social health worker Mana Lucia’s vibrant face at MT.

Thanks to a *Rotary exchange* program she is off in Townsville for ten weeks doing a social work placement in a women’s refuge.

Such a wonderful experience. We look forward to her return and sharing all she has learnt.

Perhaps seeing if we can apply some new concepts helping us to deliver culturally appropriate social work services to Timor Leste.

There are still so many broken bodies, minds and souls that need a gentle caring person to guide them through their past and current trauma.

We are developing a social work services arm as a small trial at MT.

Once we fine tune and get experience with what works here it is something that can be easily upscaled and rolled out to each hospital when the government is ready.

Another great innovation team.

Help us do even more

Even though healthcare in Timor-Leste has improved, there is still so much more to do.

A small amount of money goes a long way with the per person health budget less than US$100 per year.
