Dr Clare Nourse has been awarded and AM !

Congratulations to Paediatric Infection Specialist Dr Clare Nourse who has been appointed as a Member (AM) of the Order of Australia (General Division) in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List 2019 for her ‘significant service to medicine in the field of paediatric infectious diseases’.

Clare is a paediatric infection specialist at Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane and an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Paediatrics at University of Queensland. Her major interest is in improving the health of marginalised, resource poor children in Australia and elsewhere, particularly in the areas of HIV infection, tuberculosis, staphylococcal infection and refugee health.

Clare is a board director of Maluk Timor and chairs the Medical Advisory Committee.

Clare says: ‘One of the great joys and privileges in my life has been the opportunity to work with the wonderful team at Maluk Timor whose dedication and commitment never ceases to astound me’
