Closing of 2017/2018 financial year

Welcome to our last newsletter for the 2017/2018 financial year, if you were thinking of making a donation now is the best time of year to do so.

We know that poor health in childhood leads to disease and disability in adulthood. The children of today are Timor-Leste’s future, but what sort of future will it be? Timorese children face high (greater than 50%) rates of undernutrition, chronic infection, dental disease and sexual abuse, each of which carries lifelong consequences.

We have an opportunity to help the children of Timor-Leste now, as well as sowing the seeds of a robust health ecosystem.

What is needed is not a single strategy, but a comprehensive approach that targets all aspects of child health, starting with the mother.

Through your generous support, we have offered a broad range of programs that address the biggest health challenges in Timor-Leste.

Each one of our programs supports and augments the others. From the highest levels of government health policy to tiny village communities, we are serving the people of Timor-Leste, and the children less fortunate.

All of Maluk Timor’s programs are designed to work within or alongside Timorese Ministry of Health programs and facilities, seeking to improve the quality and expand the reach of those services.

We couldn’t do all of this without the amazing ongoing support receive so please consider donating to this very worthy cause at the end of this financial year.

REMEMBER – we now no longer use AOP (Action on Poverty) for our donations. You are required to change over to Maluk Timor who will send you a tax receipt in July. Email [email protected] if you need assistance.

Thank you for your most loyal support and please feel free to contact us anytime.

All the action happens on Facebook – please LIKE and FOLLOW (this is important) the page.

Yours Sincerely,

Dr Jeremy & Dr Chris
